Getting Ready for the Holidays III

Don't you just love it when you purchase something from your favorite Etsy shop and you get a little something extra? It's like Christmas every time. When I buy buttons for my key fobs, I get a little bag of extra buttons with a note that says "A Little Something Extra for You."



Or, when I buy zippers I get a little ziplock bag with a piece of candy, a funny little button and a sticker.



And, I love it when my fabrics come with this pretty paper lace ribbon.



I ordered a keychain for my niece from Etsy shop LeatherPrince and it came packaged soooo cute.



One of the shops I frequent always includes a coupon for a future purchase. And, last year, I actually got a Christmas card from one of my regular suppliers. Now how great is that! Yes, I'm 48 years old and I still get excited by these little touches. "It's all in the details" applies not only to the creations you sell, but how you package them.

So, I recently purchased some buttons to include in my orders around the holidays from Etsy shop KittyCrossbones. She sells all kinds of promotional items from buttons and business cards to magnets and keychains. The front of the buttons have the images of the buds I use in my banner and avatar. Around the edge is my shop url. Since the url is around the edge and not plastered on the front, I hope people feel they can use them on their bags and such.





My business cards are Moo Cards. They are a little more expensive than regular business cards, but they are such great quality. When I get one with a purchase I find it hard to throw away. You can customize them with images of your product. The back of my cards has a discount offer for a future purchase.



Extra touches don't have to cost much either. You can purchase a little paper punch at your local craft store with a holiday theme and punch magazine pages for packaging confetti. Use an extra button from your stash to decorate your business cards. Or, just simply include a hand written thank you card.
