May's last new members

Yours truly, the fearless team leader of Carried Away, has been having life happen at a rather rapid pace lately and has been terribly neglecting the slew of join requests for the last two week. I so apologize to all these patient new team members and want to give them all a huge welcome! Let's get started shall we?

This retro charming special occasion duponi Silk purse is from Patrica of The Duchess Collection. She lives in MA and makes a variety of quilted purses and bags.

I just love this fun bee print pleated bag from Bags by Colette. It comes in two sizes and you should definitely have a look at the rest of her lively, modern designs.

Ohh I love this fabric Libie choose for this carry-all 16 POCKET diaper bag! I had some in the purple/orange colorway and made a great bag with origami pockets that I called my "cock" bag because I had cut the roosters upside down. :) I love the fabric just as much in this incaranation. When Libie from Livin4Prim isn't sewing she's a dental assistant and bookkeeper and lives in Washington.

Elizabath of SmashingThreads, a friend of our wonderful team member Masko of Siam Square, also makes cute Kawai theme bags like this darling Little Red Riding Hood handbag. Elizabeth lives in Memphis, TN.

Look at this canvas tote bag of hand screen printed beachy fun! Tina of Salmon Barn hand silk screens her own fabrics. She learned the skill while in college getting her Textile Design degree which she followed up with a Fashion Design degree.

This chic leather handpainted sunflower bag is a rescued orphan from a thrift store given new life by the talented Sharon from ClairBaby Designs. It's just one example of her unique handpainted upcycled treasures.

... and now to a couple of my blogging buddies who have decided to get carried away with us.! Yeah! Sandie from Zaftig Delights has revealed her bag lady side when she introduced me to her other shop Knitzy Blonde via this cute vintage style ivy evenng bag.

Another blog I wander by regularly is Pink Lemondae Handbags. Caroline is a stay at home mom who is raising a daughter with down's syndrome and her younger son. She has a lot of chic modern style bags like this Chocolate Retro Spa Dots Diaper Bag. Great blog, too!
